    Lightbulb Impressive Lift?

What semi unheard of lift, with a strong weight would you be impressed by?

(Looking for this kind of stuff to fill in any weak/bottlenecking muscles, this way I can have a rough estimate of what to work for).

In a commercial gym, a 315 bench press and 405 squat or deadlift done with good form is impressive because there are so few of them.

    In a lifter's gym, I'm impressed when I see a 405 bench/500 squat/600 pound deadlift.

If someone is particularly small or female, obviously I adjust those some.

I was looking for a "Semi Unheard of lift", not the well known trio haha. The reason for this is to find obscure but efficient exercises to fill out unused muscles.

The Squat, bench and deadlift already have a spotlight, so I know what is strong/weak.

Curious, have you ever seen a single one of these in person? Hell most of them I've never even seen in videos... Other than bodyweight one handed pullups...

As for the OP, 4+ plate front squat is impressive AF, also 5+ plate RDL, 3+ plate clean, 2+ plate snatch, 250+ OHP (strict or push).

This is the stuff I'm talking about. Is there a full on list on this stuff? I've seen strengthlevel.com, but that seems a bit off. Like, I actually have to look around for that.

Well, I can do half of what he said. (Can do: Double bodyweight pull up, (if he means pull up plus bodyweight, hopefully not pullup plus x2 bodyweight lol), can do weighted one arm pull ups. Then I'm not sure about a bodyweight curl. Cant 3x bodyweight bench. Farmerswalk nope.

EDIT: Thanks for the goals by the way.

Stats? 2× BW pull/chin is seriously impressive if true. Yes I take that to be Bw + Bw in weight added, not 2× Bw added.

I've recently been interested in some of the old school exercises the guys in the first half of the twentieth century were doing.

The Hise Shrug is one of them. I have used it a couple of times, but I haven't pushed the weight. My guess is that a strong person could use an incredible amount of weight, probably more than they squat, even if they squat a lot.

I'm sure, like anything else, people would start using a ROM that you'd need a microscope to detect as an excuse to pile a bunch of weigh on the bar.

    Then there's a Reeves Deadlift:

    And finally the Steinborn Squat:

Lol not really in person, they're things I've done or want to do. I can't do the last 2 but there are videos, especially if you consider farmers walk and frame carry pretty much the same thing.

Triple bodyweight bench press? Pretty sure the only time I've seen that is with a multiply bench shirt, super arched back, elbow and wrist wraps, wide grip with hardly any ROM and at that point it isn't a bench press anymore

Any youtube vid of someone doing this legit?

I saw this link, never watched it, turns out it's fake raw.

I might do it one day, 240kg at 80kg, but I'm almost 31 and it's getting less and less likely, pretty much gave up haha. I do know the paralympic guys can do it, but the bodyweight standard is dubious since their legs are massively atrophied.

5"1(ish), 65kg. (I'm aware I'm pretty small, small parents I guess.) My brother isn't much taller. So I think I've peaked my height, still time to grow I guess.

    Ah right okay, cool.

Honestly man, I stopped comparing all these impressive lifts and high numbers and such

I'm just progressively overloading every session or two and working my way up to something I find MUCH stronger then when I first started

I'm sure, like anything else, people would start using a ROM that you'd need a microscope to detect as an excuse to pile a bunch of weigh on the bar.

    Then there's a Reeves Deadlift:

    And finally the Steinborn Squat:

Cool stuff, that first one screams cervical errors lol. That reeves deadlift looks promising, have u tried that? The squat looks dangerous as **** lol

Eh, they would ideally just be motivation in the long run. You can't progressively overload forever haha.
