    Lose weight *vegetarian+soy

Hey everyone I know this may have been answered before was wondering if anyone had any articles or info for me
I was told to stay away from soy from a Trainer at the gym. I recently became vegan and started eating plant based products ,beyond meat,yves...ect been feeling great .i haven’t got in dept with soy and my body as I just started .I’m a basic eater what would someone recommend for food with no soy..for quick meals on the go .

I guess I am trying to get estrogen out of my body if I am correct? Thx all

I recently watched The Game Changers on Netflix. It was pretty good, lots of fitness guys talking about why they switched to a plant based diet and some scientists backing up what they were saying. I had always been told soy increases your estrogen but some scientist on the film said that it contains an incomplete form of estrogen that blocks up our estrogen receptors and actually makes it harder for us to absorb real estrogen. Basically this means soy would actually reduce the amount of estrogen you have. I don't know who to believe but it sounded promising. I don't go crazy with the soy products but I definitely wouldn't completely exclude them.

In terms of alternatives... for milk I use hemp milk rather than soy. It's packed with vitamins. For on the go meals I usually make bean chilli with rice or pasta which can be reheated in a microwave. Or I have cold pasta and veg with a protein shake. Sometimes I have soup and if I feel like I need extra protein I chuck some powder in the soup. My local supermarket sells tins of baked beans with vegan sausages mixed in. I think they're made of quorn not soy and one of those tins poured over some toast is the bomb!

The phytoestrogens in soy are not the same as animal-based estrogens... soy is fine if you like it.
