Post Help! Eating healthy but feel bloated and not losing weight

I’ve eaten healthy for two weeks now, and hitting the gym 5 days a week. I haven’t messed a day. I eat a half cup of oatmeal, 5 eggs, chicken breast, 80% fat free ground beef, rice, creatine, and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter a day. Totaling ≈2,500 calories, 200g carbs, 200g protein. I’m 5’8, 183lbs.

By the end of the day of eating, I feel bloated, full, and fat. I haven’t noticed a difference in the gym. I know it’s only been two weeks, but I’m expecting to gain more strength but I’m still lifting the same weight. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice would be helpful.

Who told you that was healthy? You haven't consumed a single vegetable in 2 weeks? No wonder your body is hurting lol.

You can be losing weight and still eating a unhealthy diet.

Lean protein meat; 1 cup veggies; 1/2 cup brown rice - Lunch
Deli Turkey/Chicken/Tuna with provolone on a wheat wrap - 2pm snack

    Casein before bed

About 130 oz water for the day

I Can Because I Want To...

Bodybuilder Chris Bumstead stated on his YouTube video that he incorporates veggies into meals just to make his stomach feel fuller. Which is why I figured to not eat veggies since I’m already full by the end of the day. Plus I go 16 hours without eating.

Perhaps 2500 calories is your maintenance level.

Eating what you perceive to be healthy foods will not cause weight loss if your calories are at maintenance. You need a calorie deficit.

Try 2200 and see how you get on.

    Wink

Are you weighing and measuring your food?

Weight loss has nothing really to do with “healthy” food. All that matters is calories.

You’re either consuming more calories then you think you are (not using a food scale, etc), or 2500 calories is too high of a intake for you activity level.

If you provide more information like job, hobbies, how active you are I could help you more.

Why would you ever think it's a rational and healthy idea to not incorporate veggies in to your diet?

Replace the beef with four cups of vegetables, two cups at each meal and you'll see the bloat diminish. Btw, not all pro bodybuilders eat "healthy". They eat for size.
