Is it possible to cut and clean bulk in the same week?

Long time lurker, I have read about the skepticism on this but I have one further question. Hear me out.

If I am currently cutting to preserve muscle (350 deficit per day), and my goal is to clean bulk next, then while I cut can I clean bulk on my rest days?

Eg. If I'm going to be cutting in Jan, and then clean bulking in Feb, can't I cut like monday-friday in Jan, and clean bulk on sat and sunday? Why does it have to be one thing in Jan and one thing in Feb?

If you look at the 60 days you'll see 30 cut, 30 bulk, so what if I split them differently than consecutively?

Just a question, I don't know the answers I just thought it made sense logically. Let me know if this is possible or a bad idea. Thanks!

You can build muscle while in a 350 kcal deficit. Hence you are kind of bulking and cutting at the same time (usually termed "recomping").

However if you want to do what you propose it makes more sense to me to have your higher calorie days be the days you are lifting, not your rest days. If you're in a surplus on your clean bulk days you'll be in a relatively minor deficit overall for the week and thus the rate of fat loss will be slow.

    The sure answer is no.

That is it, nope not possible.

    Not a chance

Nein, non, Nee ummm I don't know any other languages for no sorry.

It takes a prolonged period for your body to adapt to a caloric level therefore all that will happen is over a prolonged period you will either at be in deficit, maintenance or surplus of calories for that period of time.

I would argue that bulking and cutting monthly will do nothing but cause you to spin your wheels and effectively just be at maintenance. You gain 1lb a month, you lose 1lb a month therefore you are the same weight nothing has changed really (you may gain a small amount of muscle but unlikely).

As for your weekly example its simple maths:-

Monday to Friday 350 deficit therefore a total of 1750 calories a week, two days bulking (lets say 300 surplus) equals 900. Means over the week you are in a total deficit of 850 calories therefore in about 1 month you will lose 1lb of fat well done.

If you are asking about a recomp that is possible but that is certainly not bulking and cutting cycles.

Ah ok. Recomp it is. Makes sense. I just finished watching a video by Jeff Cavalier that kind of adds to both of your points as well.
It's called "How to BULK UP Fast! (TRUTH about "Bulking and Cutting")". I can't post it since my post count is low.

Appreciate the quick responses thanks for the help.
