Question about training for first meet (I read the sticky I promise)

My first meet is going to be in April, but I just have a specific question not noted on stickies.

I've been waking up and training at 4am, its not necessarily fasted as I have a very light snack ~30 minutes prior to lifting, as thats how long it takes for me to walk to the gym.

Just curious if I should consider shifting my training time later into the day somewhere closer to where the meet would likely be (around the afternoon I'm assuming). I have no issues with waking up early and I honestly prefer it. Sleep schedule is very good and consistent, never woken up longer than 30 seconds after my alarm has started ringing in the past 15 weeks since I started this (I track it). I don't feel tired until 6-7pm in the evening.

I know training timing is not particularly important in the grand scheme of things, but since this is competition related I was wondering if it was worth the effort to make a switch since I enjoy what I'm doing right now.

    Cheers.

I wouldn't bother changing anything for your first meet. It will make more of a difference when you start pursuing records or big totals. For now, just take care of smashing your peaking cycle and resting up to kill it on the platform.
