    Ford 250

    Got an opportunity to scoop up a 2004 Ford 250, 5.4 L for $2000 bucks... anyone have experience with these older trucks? Any potentional issues i should worry about.. no rust on the truck, has about 106,000 miles

    Pretty damn under powered with the 5.4 but not bad for a daily so long as you don’t do much for pulling. I’m not sure if the death wobble was a factor in the 04’s or not but I had an 06 with it and it was fukin terrible.

    Don't know a lot about them, but one thing I do know is that a lot of the triton engine exhaust manifold bolts can break or the manifolds themselves fail over time. Listen for any loud ticking sounds in the wheelwells.

    Had this problem with a couple of hemis in Dodge Ram 2500’s too.
