    Groin burning sensation during squat

    I just started training legs for the first time, today was my 2nd session doing squats. I warmed up doing pistol squats and stretches and then went onto my first set of 60kg for 12, I decided to drop the weight to 40kg as my mate said I was leaning forward a bit after I got to my last few reps I was struggling a bit and when I got to the bottom of the squat I felt a burning sensation on my right side of my groin in a similar spot to the picture I have attached, I did 2 reps with it before stopping as I was concerned, the pain went away when I got to the top of the rep and came back when I got the bottom of it, It felt like a sharp warm burning sensation, my mate reckons it was my hip abductor muscle due to the reason I'm leaning forward a lot when I get to my final reps the pain pretty much went away when I stopped so I finished my workout doing a few more box squats so that I wasn't going down far and that was fine and did some quad and hamstring exercises and didn't feel the pain at all, I just want to get another opinion on what it could be and how I can avoid it in the future.

    you're new, it's probably DOMS. Drop the weight, check for form, it will probably go away in a week. Get on a good program - not what a bro says you should do
