How do I get strong enough for Pull ups & back squats?

I have a very weak upper body, I can barely do body weight exercises. My shoulder and wrist suffers a lot when I try to pull my body weight up. Are there easier variations I can do?

Although I have very strong legs, my other issue is with back squats. Balance is the main problem.

Do you have the options to do pulldowns? If not you can purchase resistance bands to assist you. That said, you should definitely not have any wrist suffering whatsoever while doing a pullup. Can you post a video?

Can you post a video of yourself squatting?
