Vanguard 2020 market outlook predicts 3-5% returns for the next 10yrs

That's an average of 3-5% return in American equities... Certainly disappointing to most of us.
What are you bros going to do with your money in the next decade?

I will continue putting money into the market. The predicted 3-5% estimate is pretty standard when being conservative to forecast.

we've already had tons of growth. Look at the S&P returns from 2014 to now. Its only inevitable for it to slow down. I dont see a recession inthe near future tho

if we can manage to complete trade deals with Mexico, Canada, and china i think the overall return will be even higher

Going to continue to invest in equities and tilt a little bit more toward emerging markets, just because I'm getting nervous about the marxism that's trending in a lot of developed countries. Really, what's the alternative? Buy bonds that're taxed as ordinary income and yield 2% for 10 years (if that)? I won't retire for at least 35 years, so I'll take my chances.

well thats exactly what I was thinking. Currently I'm 100% in VOO but I may start putting money into an international index, particularly emerging markets.

I have ALOT of $ in VOO and plan to continue to add.

    Would never put into EM.

Looking for something else but honestly VOO does everything I’m looking for.

Might make a RE move, probably won’t though because of current honk level prices (although they are slightly softening)

Continue to invest in VOO and VGT as usual. Bouncing money around trying to time and predict the market has a much higher degree of risk and larger history of failure then just consistently investing in proven funds.

With that said if the market does tank to 5% or less. I'll most likely be putting a larger portion of my spare cash into paying off my home quickly. I could probably pay it off in about 6-8 years then after that put $2000-3000 per month into investments completely debt free.

Sure if you have the money to invest. I already want to pay off my house fast. Preferably 10 to 12 after my purchase date.

My mortgage is 4% interest. I have no intention on playing with that debt for 30 years.

If the market returns slow to that same level I'd personally prefer to have a paid off house.

It’s tough for anyone to predict the market so I would take their prediction with a grain of salt (like all other predictions).

Stay invested, diversified, and debt free. Nothing new.
