    Is whole milk allowed on the keto diet?

    Hi all, i would like to know if whole milk is allowed on the ketogenic diet? Since it is high in fat and not too high in carbohydrates,

    No, not allowed. Too much sugar for keto.

    But of course you could just do a low carb diet instead of strict keto. There's no evidence that keto is any better than a diet that includes some carbs.

    Hi, thanks for your answer. yes I guess you are right about about how it is calorie deficit which leads to weight loss and not specifically ketogenic diets. Because I used to do a low calorie diet while eating a lot of fruits, and even though, i included pineapples and other fruits in that diet I was losing weight
