    LEAN BULKING is 10x more difficult than CUTTING!!

    To eat only a few hundred cals over maintenance, gaining only 0.5 lbs per week, and not letting it spill over in to a dirty bulk takes much more will power than cutting. Respect to anyone who can pull off a legit lean bulk. Time to do a 6 week mini cut and try again.

    Lean bulking isnt worth it. If you overfeed but keep it clean you're not going to gain a ton of fat overfeeding on chicken and rice. It usually turns into burgers and fries. That's what fuks you up.

    its all in learning how to take supplements and eating clean.

    I keep or lose bodyfat eating 4200-4400 calories a day lean bulking, 350p 600c 60f area, manipulate carb timing and lower carbs on off days and utilizing actual supplements like ALA and berberine for any excess carb storage.

    Cutting can be done on EZ mode with 2500 calories and the correct supplements and nutrient timing, all these people doing 1500 calories and 2 hrs of cardio are just unaware of how the body works and how to manipulate everything so you dont have to starve it to lose great deals of bodyfat.

    The big thing too is learning gym performance is king, never let it suffer.

    Well Greg Doucette insists that you can make gains in a deficit - as long as you're getting enough protein and working out, that your body can utilize body fat for the additional energy to build new muscle. Can't confirm, but I want to believe, and he is a doctor so he should know...

    aint buying it. MAYBE with calorie cycling, but a straight deficit? Sounds like something that may have a scientific basis but is impractical in reality.

    I'm lean bulking on 4k Cal's. Gaining like a lb a month. So much fukin better than getting fat like I did in the past. I'm actually seeing noticeable improvements and feel in control of all variables better. Would never bulk fast again.

    moreso the other way around, science will say you must be in a surplus but in practice some bodybuilders have put on mass in a competition prep, most likely related to supplements and improved gym performance and focus on recovery rather than in the off season.

    Also muscle memory can make it look like somone put on new muscle in a deficit/prep when in reality it is just muscle memory and DNA returning the muscle back to its previous size.

    thats how its done, then as you gain more muscle mass you can eat more calories and stay lean. Learn your body's sweet spots and it pays off. Eventually you can become in tune with how many carbs to eat on what days if you follow a structured program and track your food and lifts.

    I did 4 months on 1600 calories, and it sucked.
    Doing 2400 calories now (300 cals bulk) and it's the best.
    So many extra calories, so much more food. I don't know what you talking bout op.

    no you wont, this is 100% broscience, real science, leading clinical dieticians and MD with studies in nutrition have proven extensively calories in vs out is only important for WEIGHT LOSS and not very relevant for fat manipulation and muscle hypertrophy.

    I guarantee without a single doubt the person eating 5k calories in chicken and rice will look SIGNIFICANTLY different than a person eating 3k calories of fries even, the chicken/rice person being way leaner and more muscular.

    one of the legendary bodybuilders coined the quote, " no one ever got fat eating chicken and rice" because its true, its the other **** people eat ontop of the chicken and rice that makes them fat in a surplus but youre going to be hard pressed to be consuming and not using the amount of rice and chicken you can possibly eat before feeling sick/unable to eat more.

    I mean obviously the chicken and rice will provide a lot more nutritional value and protein. So of course someone will look different if he works out and eats clean.
    But in the end, pure weight loss or weight gain still comes down to calories in vs calories out. You can lose weight on junk food only. And you can get fat on a clean diet if you eat enough of it.

    Calories in v Calories out is just simple thermodynamics, what people forget though is that protein has to be equal in the two diets for body composition to match.

    literally always trying to bulk/lean bulk but never gain weight
    i know i need to eat more

    but never been a big eater and do a lot of activity and just cbf eating
