    Some questions about cutting

So first off, a little about me: I have been bulking for about six months now counting calories and making sure diet is in check. I think I will be doing my first cut in about a month and have a few questions:

    1. I am getting mixed answers on BCAAs. Due to my schedule, 2 out of my 4 workouts per week I train on an empty stomach besides only having a protein shake in me. I have read that BCAAs can help if you train fasted?

    2. I plan on taking casein at night to help with hunger. Would taking two scoops of whey protein on top of this be too much protein supplements? I will be prioritizing eating actual food but I bet I'll have some days where my protein intake might be a little low.

    3. What percent under my TDEE should my cut be? I read that about 1 pound loss per week is a good pace.

    4. I will be trying to keep my volume the same for my workouts, but over time I will decrease the volume by 1 set per exercise - thoughts?

    5. Any program recommendations for mass building after my cut? I am thinking about the Layne Norton's PHAT program

    6. Any other tips are appreciated!

    1. No, assuming you still get required daily protein totals. Supplement salesmen will tell you timing matters. Research suggests it doesn't much.
    2. Maybe. Or you could mix whey with something else like Greek yogurt
    3. Don't attempt to lose more than 1% of bodyweight per week. So if you were 200lbs, that would be 2lbs or a 1000 calorie deficit.
    4. No, keep it the same if possible or you could regress
