    location location location

Having done a decent amount of research in searching for a reliable used hatchback, I've come to the conclusion that what matters most is where the plant was located.

More than the badge, it's what country the car was produced in that matters in terms of quality.

With that in mind, Canadians take 1st prize. They make some of the best produced cars. Put others to shame really.

I wish plant location information was more readily available on websites. Specs rarely have this information.

Absolutely true. I've been driving BMW most of my life, and all bar one have been built in Germany, and were absolutely flawless. My X6 was built in some chithole called Spartanburg in US and is the worst assembled vehicle I have ever owned.
