    Welcome to the forum

Start with bodyweight exercises such as pushups, squats, pistol-squats, wall-pushups, pullups (get a pullup bar for your door, relatively cheaper) chair-dips. Add cardio such as running, rope-skipping, crunches, planks.

For diet you can have black coffee for breakfast in the morning to skip breakfast, fast for 4-5 hours after your coffee for supper you can eat light like fruits, nuts/seeds then eat a big early dinner. Rely on eggs, yogurt for cheap protein. Maybe someone else can chip in to this

to put it simply, just eat less and try to make healthier food choices. if you're looking for pure fat loss, you might want to prioritize cardio over lifting

why though? one hour of cardio surely burns more calories than one hour of lifting. by "pure fat loss" i didn't mean that you'd only lose fat without losing any muscle, i meant that if fat loss is your only goal, rather do cardio than lift weights. i'm really curious why this wouldn't be optimal

Because without lifting, the OP would be maximizing WEIGHT loss, not FAT loss. (Losing a combo of fat AND muscle. Lifting would help minimize muscle loss.)

Losing weight only doing cardio tends to result in a smaller version of your current body and if starting with fairly little muscle, they just look like a smaller soft and pudgy self. A reasonable caloric deficit can be met without requiring cardio.

i guess i mixed up weight loss and fat loss. for what it's worth, my advice still stands if OP only wants to see the scale numbers go down and is not worried about body composition or bf% (which i highly doubt, reading it again he specifically mentioned fat loss so my advice should be thrown away)
