    Question Why is bread considered bad?

    Over the years I've seen Youtube videos recommending against normal bread for muscle gains.

    It contains a decent amount of protein, and the fibre from multi grain is good for you. Why is it considered bad to eat for gains?

    If you are eating it for lunch and you workout between breakfast and lunch.

    It isn't considered bad by those who have an understanding of nutrition.

    Now there is a lot of individual variability as to how people respond to different foods. Some people will genuinely find that eating bread makes them feel sluggish or light headed. You have to experiment with what suits you.

    But as a generality, bread is a useful food.
