    Pre & post workout

    Couple of questions....

    1. Is it necessary to rotate out your pre-workout? If so, how often (i.e. as you finish a container, every couple of weeks, etc)?

    2. I'm nearing the end of my BCAA container. I'm attempting fat loss while I lift (my workouts are lift based but eating for fat loss). I mix my BCAA with my creatine (both Cellucor). My Creatine container is nowhere NEAR ready to switch. Should I do something different post workout with regards to BCAA (i.e. rotate to something else)?

Side note, I typically go with Cellucor products as I know they're gluten free and I've had no reactions. I'm not necessarily brand loyal, but gluten free IS a requirement.

Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is no inherent necessity to cycle your pre-workout. There is the potential, though, for anyone using any kind of stimulant to develop a tolerance. If your pre-workout seems to be becoming less potent and you believe this is the case for yourself, cycling off for 2 - 4 weeks may provide the reset you’re looking for. I use Creatine and Beta Alanine, and I’ve never “cycled” either of those. Efficiency remains the same to me.

The second part is a tad convoluted; but no, I would just say stick to your staple and repurchase, if there’s no reason other than just you’ve ran out.

Are you not feeling the effects of the stimulants? If you're not, a break may help. If you're still enjoying it or it's helping your workouts, continue as you like. You don't need to rotate it. Your preworkout choice should depend on what you hope to get out of it. More feelings of energy, pumps, focus or some combo of the three.

Stop wasting your money on free form amino acids. Meet macro daily and get plenty of aminos.

There is no reason to supplement either of those post-workout. Creatine can be used anytime. Protein can be use anytime. Timing is not relevant for either.

I take a lot of supplements...like A LOT. What I follow is a 5 days on - 2 days off (or 4 weeks on, 1 week off) approach.

Basically, I'm taking a particular supplement for 3-4 weeks (or 5 days in a row), then take 1 week (or 2 days) off. It seems to be working extremely well

    BGP78,

If your current stack is working and you're seeing results stick with it, flavors are the only thing I'd rotate at this point

Also, BCAAs are best used prior and or during training. Good luck with your goals

    OP,

    Thanks for your Cellucor love!

No need to rotate pwo products, if you find one you like I’d keep using it.

But, Shoot me a DM and I’ll send you something new you haven’t tried!
