Inability to gain weight despite of eating alot 96lb at 5 ft 9

Hello, Guys I am having problem gaining weight since my early childhood. I was always a skinny guy since childhood. Had really hard time gaining weight. Since 8 years I am trying to bulk up . I am extremely thin at my height 5ft 9 and I seriously need help. I am now 24 year old and do workout at home. I was busy in my college so I couldnt able to give my total attention to my health. I feel very depressed about my physique , I feel very shy because of how thin I am . Have zero confidence due to my extremely low weight. People make fun of how thin I am. I tried many times gaining weight but situation is like, I can loose weight like a blink of an eye but have extremely hard time putting even a single killo.

    My health condition issues:

I had digestive issues ( Bloating/ gas ) since 8 years and is on herbal medicines ( Ayurveda ). Also I have chronic constipation issues which I am working on fixing it. So it all makes it very hard to eat alot of calories. I also have lactose intolerant so, I cant take any milk product except curd/ yoghurt . I also cant tolerate whey isolate. currently I am on vegan protein powder and eat eggs for my protein requirements .

Doctors did every kind of test on me from blood work , ultrasound , ct scan of intestine, colonoscopy , thyroid , celiec panel etc all test came negative. It seems like my body resist gaining any weight. No matter how much I eat I dont gain weight. The only time I put weight was with the help of doctors who prescribed me steroid which made me gain 25 pounds of weight. I was 115lb that time. But I gradually lost that weight as I got sick due to digestive issues. My food choices are limited. I cant eat chocolates or dairy or cheese. Both are high caloric . But gives me constipation. I just want to gain weight I am soo depressed .

My daily meal plan / caloric intake ( 2300 calories )

Breakfast : 3 brown bread with butter ( 350 calories)
    Snakes : 1 scoop vegan protein ( 130 calories ) + 2 Sweets ( 280 Cals)
    Lunch: Rice 100gm ( 400 calories ) + Pulses or vegetable.
    Breakfast : 3 egg Omellete with 1 teaspoon of oil . (350 calories )
    Snakes : 28gm Almonds ( 170 calories) + sweets ( 170 calories )
    Dinner : 3 roti ( 300 calories ) + Vegetable

    Daily Protein/ Carbs / fats : 80 gm protein / 300 gm carb / 70 gm fat

    Daily total around 2400-2300 .

Myfitness pal says me to eat 2700 calories a day. But I am sedentary and its very hard for me to eat even 2500 calories. I get full very fast. I think I have very fast metabolism. But it must slow down as I am 24 right now. I am now 24 but my metabolism is not slowing down.
44KG at 5f9 is really concerning to me. I must be gaining weight even on 2000 calories because of my such a low weight. Dont suggest me any mass gainers because I cant tolerate whey in it. Its been 8 years now. I had been consuming this diet since many years. Also I have a bad habit of masturbation . When ever I masturbate I loose weight. Its clearly evident in my case. What ever research says, but my body looses weight whenever I masturbate. I had been observing it since many years. Now it is also coming in my way of gaining muscle. I am hard time resisting it and stopping it.

    Where is the meat?

If you've been eating the same thing for years without gaining weight, and you want to gain weight, the only way around this is to eat more, that is, consume more calories every day than you have been.

    You tell us. Fish? Chicken?

Seriously, if you want to gain weight eat more, or eat more calorie-dense foods like peanut butter, avocado, nuts, raisins...

In one of you other threads you say you can eat ice cream, so eat more of it.

OP, in looking at your posting history, you have posted multiple threads about how to gain weight. You've been given lots of good advice. Follow it. There is not some new magic way to gain weight. Good luck.

I eat 3 eggs daily with my vegan protein powder. I can eat chicken but I cant cook it. So I have to order it from restaurant or go there daily which is too hectic for me. I can order chicken wings though.

    Why can't you cook chicken?

Chicken wings sound like an excellent bulking food

Start scooping from a jar of peanut butter as between snack snack

The health conditions you're dealing with normally happens to people who are grossly underweight. The issue isn't hardgainer, fast metabolism, etc...

Just glancing though you post history and it's pretty clear you have eating disorder. Get some professional help asap.

What do you mean by eating disorder? I dont have bulimia nervousa nor I am aneroxic. I eat food like others and I love to eat food . It is like I dont gain weight how hard I try. At this extremely low weight I feel very depressed and have zero confidence. At 24 year old I should look like a adult male but I look like teenager. It takes very hardwork to gain even a single kg and I can loose it in few days if I dont eat my maintenance calories. My metabolism is like going crazy or I dont absorb food very well. I must be gaining weight at this calorie intake as I dont have much mass or muscle/fat on my body. Where the hell is all calories going?

I've been in nutrition for decades and I've lost count of the stories I hear similar to yours. You're at the weight you're at today because you're a chronic under eater period.

You either get the help you need or don't...choice is yours.

I actually got help from a GI doctor few years ago who prescribed me a steriod called deca durabolin 50mg. It made me gain 25 lbs of weight. I was very happy from my weight gain that time . But as I got sick I lost most of it and couldnt hold it. Now I am trying to work my back up .

So if I again go to doctor they will again prescribe me that thing.

    Are you gaining weight?

If yes, keep eating that much until you stop gaining weight, then eat more.

    If no, eat more.

It's very simple. Eat more. Apparently it's not easy for you, but, it's simple. Eat more. More food, more calorie dense food, drink calories, anything that's more.

Go to the store right now and buy some jars of peanut butter, eat from the jar with a spoon every time you think about it

Go order some of those wings. Eat them in addition to everything you normally eat

    Repeat daily

I thought the same but it would be another page or two of denial and circular logic with OP if we got into that. If OP is eating the same basic thing every day and not gaining weight, it doesn't matter how many calories it is or isn't, the problem (not enough calories) and solution (consume more) are the same. We're having enough trouble just with that lol

I calculate it with myfitnesspal app. It says to eat 2600 calories to gain weight. I feel full even on 2000 calories. My friends of same age eat same amount of food but they are 60kgs or even 80kgs. They eat less but maintain their weight at soo low caloric intake. Life seems to unfair to me. Why do some people can gain weight even by eating soo less while others struggle to even gain on high amount of calories?

Eat more. 3 eggs is how I start breakfast. It's not the whole meal.

Ignore my fitness pal and go with what you’re seeing in the numbers. If 2600 cals isn’t adding weight then you need to eat more calorie-dense foods. Comparing to your friends is pointless too - you don’t know their exact caloric intake or their energy expenditure and it means nothing to your own situation.

Brown bread with butter for breakfast? Swap to peanut butter and you’ll easily add a couple of hundred calories.

I’m with the previous posters though, even if you’re tracking it all I don’t see the numbers adding up. I think you’re lying to yourself.

    Eat more.

If you can't eat more and gain weight, you need professional help. In real life medical professionals.

Anyone can punch numbers into a gadget and say, "I'm eating this many calories a day." Get yourself a cheap food scale and start tracking properly. According to the basic height/weight guidelines (and yes never set in stone but guidelines,) you're close to being 50 lbs underweight for your height. Think about that for a minute because there's something seriously wrong with that. That doesn't happen by accident. I'm sorry to tell you but you can gain weight if you want to and you're no different compared to any other human on the planet. You're not a special case so stop thinking you are.

People here are tying to help you and want you to be healthy. Do what you have to do to get the help you need.

People who have IBS it other digestion issues consume meats. They need to be as minimally processed as possible. So as close to you can get to hunting, killing it and eating yourself. Fish is usually well tolerated.

The fitness app is not always going to be right. If you’re consuming 2300-2600 calories and not gaining weight then up your calories by 500 for a few weeks. Keep upping until the scale starts to move. Add oils, nuts for higher calorie, less satiety foods.
