Regular L sit vs L sit straddled

Which exercise is more difficult? A regular L sit on paralletes vs a straddled L sit (so your legs are still in front of your arms. Same position as the regular L sit, but just straddled). I'd assume that the straddled L sit is easier because of better/increased leverage, assuming flexibility isn't an issue. Is this true or is the difference small? When doing a front lever, this makes a huge difference. Not sure about the L sit on paralletes though.

The straddle can be harder because you have to have your hips farther forward and therefore lean back more. On the other hand, the pike could be harder because you have to have flexibility to pull your hips back and up, unless you lean back to compensate.

    Thanks for replying.
Why do you exactly have to change the position of your hips when doing the straddled version? Isn't it possible to use the exact same position as the regular L sit, but the only difference being spreading your legs out? (So same hip position and legs behind in front of your arms, just like the regular L sit). If the hip position stays the same, shouldn't the leverage improve?

Depends what style of L you are doing. You could be pulling hips back and compressing into a tight pike, or you could be holding your hips between your arms with your legs straight out in front, and you'd need to lean back a bit

So if you do the straddled L sit version as I described earlier, would it be easier to do? Or would it make almost no difference or would it be more difficult?

nice to see some calisthenics talk around here, been some time since i last did that...

can't really answer the question, but something to keep in mind is that parallettes have the possibility of letting your butt go lower than it would on the floor (the floor forces you to stay up). different moves might feel easier on parallettes and harder on the floor and vice versa

    Hanging should be easier.
