Hi, I am 5ft 4, weigh around 47 kg and I started weight training around 4 months ago and I have been happy with the gain in muscle mass that I have achieved, however I have a double gluteal fold which I'm having trouble in improving. I feel like it definitely has something to do with my genetics as I am pretty lean and always have been, my diet could definitely be improved as I have a high metabolism and I've always eaten whatever I wanted (lots of pudding and chocolate) so I am thinking of working on that. I have been doing squats and reached over 100kg recently, hip thrusts, donkey kicks, deadlights, leg press, abduction adduction machine. Is there a particular muscle that I should be focusing on more? Has anyone else had this problem and managed to solve it? I'm worried that its something that I'm not going to be able to change but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this.

You're too low in weight and lacking in muscle. You need a calorie surplus for steady weight gain. Weight gain and adding more muscle to continue filling out your frame will improve that area in time.

I have them too. They are one of the last places to go for me...I can get really lean and they are still there, so it is down to genetics and how fat is stored in certain people. What helped though was building a sufficient muscle base in the hamstrings and glutes. I would definitely gain some muscle.. so eat in a surplus and follow an established program

Hi bl9099, I think I've figured this out bc I had the same issue. It's the inner thigh combined with being petite. The inner thigh is shorter and curves in at the groin creating the double fold, like infants have because they are tiny. I think it's beautiful. I'm wondering what brand is your underwear in these pics? I love them and want to order some for myself! Where did you buy them?

bl9099,
I clicked on this thread just to see what a double gluteal fold is.
Aside from the fact that no guy in his right mind would complain about something like that, you just need more ass muscle, IMO. Hard style explosive kettlebell swings and deadlifts should do the trick. It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
It's easy to not be afraid of tigers when you're sitting in your living room watching a television program about tigers. When you're in the jungle where the tigers are, it's quite a different story.
