I do Spartans and Savage Races, so my training focuses on things that probably aren't typical (wall climbs, bucket carries, everyday deadhangs/pull-ups, etc). My problem is, after workouts and races where I climb walls or go extra hard on pull-ups/carries, I often end up with excruciating pain in my elbows. It isn't immediate, it's a dull ache that begins about 5-10 minutes after the workout, but often it gets so bad I'm just doubled-over in pain for 20 mins or so. I have no idea what the deal is, or how to correct it, I'm hoping it's going to get stronger as I train, but kinda worried it's a condition that will limit my abilities. Anybody got experience with this?
Edit: I didn't notice the injury subforum. Feel free to move it.
OP hasn't posted since 2017 but perhaps others will give you the benefit of their advice.
I personally self administered ART (active release therapy) along with avoiding certain grips during curls and pullups and focusing on using a full ROM with the target muscles.
