    Best Sleep Aids?

I have struggled with going to sleep at a reasonable hour all of my life. And now I have to be up at 6am for work and it is ruining my recovery at the gym. It doesn't matter how little sleep I get, or how active I am throughout the day, when the time ticks 9pm I hit a second wave and just can't fall asleep until 1am or later. Sometimes not til 3am :[

I literally started taking Benadryl every single night and still can't get to bed until around midnight, which isn't too bad I guess. And I'm pretty sure it's not healthy to be taking allergy medicine every night when you don't have allergies.

So, I recently found out that bodybuilding.com sells supplements to help athletes sleep (So exciting!).

But the question is, which ones do I buy? I saw RSP is selling one that has decent dosages and reviews. I just want to see if anyone has any personal experience with these sleep aids and which ones to buy.

    Thank you

Thanks for the tip I'll check it out. I'm wondering if just pure melatonin will do it

Pure melatonin or valerian root should do it. Beware though, I would take it hours in advance before you need to goto sleep, but after everything important is done. That way you will definitely fall asleep by 9. If you don't get enough sleep, it may make you feel even worse the next day.

I stopped taking that stuff, because I kind of got dependent on it. It sucks when you don't have it, but you need to goto sleep. I understand everyone's different, some people are straight up insomniacs, and it can be difficult to get on a sleep schedule.

all depends on if you have issues getting to sleep or staying asleep.

It might. I have you an extreme option that will deff put you down. I myself have terrible sleeping problems. I've never went to a doctor or anything but I think it's safe to say I'm an insomniac. I take lots of melatonin to put me to sleep and it usually works. Give it a try man it's really cheap

There are many things you can do even without supplementation. Make your room as dark and cold as possible and you'll instantly fall into sleep. Put away your phone before you go to sleep (I know it's hard). If you want to take supps well then Melatonin, L-Theanine can help

Lights Out is now OUT COLD and it is still fantastic!!!

I like Out Cold as it doesn't knock you out but when you fall asleep it keeps you asleep

I actually like INTIMIDATE SRT as my sleep aid by Iforce.

Our product GH Peak, while pricey, has some awesome ingredients to help you sleep deeper and more restful.

Almost everyone who has tried it, is hooked. I personally have never seen a bad review on it. Its def. not something that "knocks you", but it will help you relax and fall asleep.

Thanks everyone for the tips! I went ahead and bought a tub of Fade Out by Redcon1, and just some base melatonin to try by itself just in case Fade Out is too much. I've taken a look at some of the others (APE Darknight looks especially interesting) and might try them in the future if these don't work out for me.

Yeah this was my second choice. I like the fact that it's more than just a sleep aid.

I have a helluva time falling asleep and staying asleep. Stress of work and teenagers is rough on me sometimes.

    Things I've used:
MAN REM PM - Currently use
    iForce Lights Out was solid
    Fade Out was good too.

Pure melatonin or valerian root should do it. Beware though, I would take it hours in advance before you need to goto sleep, but after everything important is done.

I realize you already made a choice but if you want something strong as balls without Phenibut in the future, I'm ride or die for Muscle Elements Amino-PM.

    Interesting to see your thoughts.
The strongest sleep aid I've tried was sedation by vein nutrition. finaflex g8 was my second favorite (discontinued)

I'd give Out Cold a look, previously called Lights Out. Very solid sleep aid, does well winding you down to knock you out, but does just as good of a job keeping you asleep. Where it really shined for me was making 5 hours of sleep feel like 7 which helped me a great deal. Tons and tons of great reviews out there on it as well.

Pure tryptophan. Cheap and effective. 0.32 USD per serving on bb.com. For the price its been the best working sleep aid for me.

This stack helped me get to sleep within 45 min:
    200 mg l-theanine
    1 g glycine
    500 mg taurine
    4 g tryptophan

Melatonin doesn't fo much for me. Valerian gives me ****ed up dreams.

    Assuming you're getting enough magnesium...

There's something called "Zizihpus" which worked really well for me. It used to come in a formulation called "Seditol" but they seem to have discontinued that .. however you can probably find similar products containing that extract

I beleive it's made from chinese red dates or something. So super natural and no side effects.

Yes, pure melatonin will do the trick and you can start with a lower dosage (0.5 - 1 mg) and then increase the dosage if necessary. Also, check out natural melatonin alternatives (like tart cherry extract) if you prefer a more natural alternative
