if you want to photoshop some pics, try photoshop.

but as above poster said, next best thing is gimpYou don't need a reason to help people.

I use a combo of inkscape and gimp for my image editing, I do miss some of the fancier photoshop tools though.

When I photoshop, I tend to use Photoshop. Without Photoshop, photoshopping doesn't feel like true photoshopping.

corel has a number of heavy apps that compete with photoshop if thats what you mean. Expensive as $hit, but you can get activators from newsgroups or tpb

no idea about non free applications, but on windows paint.net is a good free alternative. on linux gimp is good
