    What's up everybody!

    About me: Hellooo, my name is Christian. I am 15 (in two days) from. I am ****ing awesome and that's all you need to know about my personal life. I have been "exercising" since June of 2010. From June 2010-March 2011 i basically wasted my time doing push ups/cardio and eating like 2k cals a day. At the end of March, i found this website. Greatest thing that has ever happened to me (other than my birth). From April-July i did Starting Strength just to build my strength and a decent base. Now i'm on a push/pull that i plan to follow for a while on my bulk.

    Stats:
    Height: 5'9.5"
    Weight: 168 lbs
    Bench: 155x5 (Been doing decline lately 165x4)
    Squat:265x5
    Deadlift: 285x5 (easy, had stopped deadlifting for a while to improve on lockout)

    Goals by 2012:
    225 Bench (for reps)
    365 squat
    405 Deadlift

    My ultimate goal is to be aesthetic and to be strong as fuark and to inspire people.

    Random:
    Currently doing a push/pull routine and bulking.
    Might do a split soon.
    Starting lifts were 80x5 bench, 90x5 squat, and 110x5 deadlift lulz.

    about me: I'm Andrew, I've been 'lifting' since september 09 when i got a school membership. I joined the site around then, but still dwelled in pointless split routines until march 2010. By this point i had gained a lot of fat, and little muscle since i had no idea of the concept of progressive overload, i just added weight every once in a while instead of pushing myself. I began starting strength in march, and while using poor squat form, badly injured my lower back. This came back to bite me in the ass for the next year and a half. I still followed crap routines until this january, believing in bodypart 1x per week training. I finally realized my lifts SUCKED and started training them 2x a week, things have gotten a lot better and this is where i'm at now. I like to say that i've been seriously lifting since january, as its a bit more respectable to my numbers.

    stats
    flat bench: 170x5
    db row: 100x8
    smith military press: 115x8
    weighted chins: 25x6

    after a long layoff of painful squats and deadlifts, i have begun the "bill starr rehab method" its working tremendously. I had to start from 0, but its better than nothing, my squat is at 70x25 and deadlift at 75x25, no those aren't my maxes lol its light weight until the injury heals

    goals by the end of the year
    200-225 decline bench (just starting now so i'm not sure how much higher than flat bench it is)
    to eliminate my back pain
    row the 100lb db for a sh!tload of reps, or progress to bb/tbar if my back can handle it
    200lbs bodyweight

    extras
    i've been playing guitar and goalie for the past 7 years. I base my mood and how good my day was based on my favourite 3 aspects of life - music, bodybuilding and hockey. Bodybuilding obviously is an all year round dedication, i play guitar everday and am starting to get a band together (ask if you interested to hear some originals), and hockey is just recreational ice from octorber-march. I plan to bulk to 200 around december, and spend the next 2-3 months cutting for my grad trip to montreal (the only time i will probably ever dedicate my lifting towards anyone but myself) I don't give two sh!ts about leanness and abs most of the time, my goal is as big as humanly possible, and abs can come later thanks for reading

    how u feelin td greece? I have an update too, LIKE USUAL, my squats and deadlifts failed me on the 3rd set i felt a bit of a pinch in that o so familiar area, it wasn't nearly as bad as times before, buts its not the right kind of pain. Today im feeling decent, but worse than i was last week. I'm starting to assume this is a disc injury, since it hasn't gone away and i always get the same pain coming back when i do those movements. nonetheless, i will still train legs hard and try to make some constant progress on lunges, leg press, leg curls, and ghr's.

    i think i'm going to stay away from stressful lower back work until i get a definitive MRI, this sh!t sucks

    In. ForGreece, I'd set the goals higher for end of this year if I were you. I got about the same 5RM in back squat as you and I already squatted 3 plates. You can def do it on a good day. Same for DL. I'd up the goals to +360 squat and 4 plates DL tbh. Same for you guitargoalie, set the bench goal higher too. 250 maybe? I don't think you're that far away from maxing at 2 plates bench with your current stats. Good luck with your progress. Sub'd.

    When setting goals, I like to set them unrealistic, so I bust my ass trying to achieve them, but even if I don't, I will probably finish with more progress done than with easy goals. Just my point of view about this.

    i like that idea, i always set my goals rather conservative (eg i predict it will take me a few attempts with the same weight rather than 1-2). Once i figure out how much im starting with on monday, i will re-write some of the goals

    Im feeling better. You know when you wake up and your neck is kind of stiff sometimes? Thats what it is like. It is a lot better today but there is just a bit of pain when i turn my head.

    lol back to square one. upon talking to spidey, he said hams are very under developed, and in my case probably more because i can't dl. Therefore i will be doing 3 sets for quads and 6 for hams per workout. I also discovered that walking lunges are gay, and that my leg strength has decreased drastically while trying to rehab my back injury (what i get for trying to squat)

    so upon my return, i realized that even after the deload, the lighter weights that i'm using were a bit of a challenge, is this supposed to happen

    also in regards to goals. I'll have to get a bit more into the routine (although it hasnt changed much) but lets just say that for all dumbbell exercises it would be nice to be using the 100's barbell exercises about50-70lbs added

    Fuarkkkk got 15!!!!!! The sets before it were hard as fuark. But then i got freaking PISSED after the set of six due to my weakness and bish problem. I also thought about my dream physique and busted 12 easy and then did 3 slower reps.

    For bench i am doing smolov jr to hopefully add 25ish lbs to my max. Lets see how these 3 weeks go! I am also dropping the incline bench these 3 weeks because i am getting enough chest and anterior delt work from benching 4x a week.

    except you're way stronger than me hope your back heals, try asking farley1324 (guy who made starting strength faq) about it he herniated a disc before
