Just finished this beast today and I figured I post some pics on here to brag.
I'm a union sheet metal worker and I got most of the materials from scrap at my dad's shop. I spent less than 100 bucks on everything else. The frame is 3x3 steel tubing that I welded up with my friend from work. The pendulum is 2" pipe, the top is 1 1/8" plywood w/2" foam, and the grip is a pair of handlebars from by brother's old bike. The frame is made up in pieces (so it's easier to transport or modify). I probably put a good 16 hours into this thing and got a lot of help from my friend.
I hurt my back a few months ago so I'm planning on using it for rehab at first. Once I'm healed up, I'm gonna test it's limits.
Anyways, let me know what you think.

haha thanks. The welding was the easiest part. Troubleshooting the swinging bar was a pain in the ass.
Yeah I can always change that too. I bolted the gooseneck down so I can pretty much put anything in there as long as it's close in dimension.
Yeah for sure. I'd rather put in a little work than dish out 1500+.
I've got access to all the tools and machinery at my dad's shop so I was pretty fortunate there.

Props to you man, that's some nice handy work.
There's the satisfaction you get from working hard training. You're going to be at whole different level of satisfied working hard on something you've worked hard on.
Let us know how this holds up to long-term use and the weight beating, you could probably make some pocket cash with a side project like this. EFS is great and all but 1000+ for a RH is just not something that's possible for everyone!Compete like your in first.
Train like your in second
