Unfortunatly I don't have a pic so I will have to describe it. O yea I'm not a powerlifter persay. I do keep my sets in the low reps but I do a 4 day split workin every body part like a bodybuilder. Also I do conventional exercises like flat bench incline and decline not board presses or use chains etc.
Anyways when I bench I keep my ass on the bench and try to keep a good arch, but it is my head that is different. Unlike most people who keep their head flat like they are lying down I keep my chin in my cheast and head up. I don't know why but it is more comfortable and I tend to control my breathing better. Is this totally wrong or just a wierd style?

I've actually started doing this too for some reason, just recently. Not for any reason either. I think maybe just once I looked to make sure I was hitting the chest evenly or something.
However, when I catch myself doing it, I stop, and it's not hard, so I guess I'm not in the same boat as you.
If you can put your head back and not affect your strength, you should. But if it's not for competition and it's not causing pain, there's no real harm either...

All big benchers watch the bar come down and touch the chest, you will see the smaller big benchers bring there heads up to follow the bar down to the chest...check out george halbert benching 733 if you want to know what i mean
I've seen a 15 year old deadlift 440 lbs. first time ever touching a weight
I've witnessed a begginer increase there total 350 lbs. the first month
I myself can show you men bench pressing 821 lbs. men deadlifting nearly 940 lbs. men squatting 1104 lbs.

I think that also has alot to do with it. I always watch the bar. I want to make sure I am going all the way down since I'm not one of the guys with big egos who loads the weight on and bounces it off their chest. Since i don't cheat I think I'll stick to it. I have gotten alot stronger this way and that is my main goal

Lol that is funny because I figured you all would call it cheating, but they you say it flattens you out and makes you weaker. Wierd because I can put up more weight when I do it. O well to each their own.

I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING
sebastian burns, bill crawford, and chad thomas were talking about this. they said NOT to do it because it flattens you out a little, making the stroke longer and weaker
