yeah because sooooo many people have gotten huge and jacked on keto, right...

it just said the people lost more weight, how does losing more weight make it a better diet? if someone loses 2lbs a week on a mixed one why would you try for more on a low carb one?

Im sorry but since when do we now use food for a scientific purpose in order to shed off that little inch of fat? People...listen to me...food is nothing but fuel and sustenance. We eat in order to function, be healthy and be able to perform. Therefore, practice mental strength and discipline and eat what u need....thats it. I dont get it why people have become these ****ing fat pigs by eating like pigs. If you wanna eat something bad, eat it...and dont bitch about it. Then, when u have your chance to hit the gym or work out, bust ur balls and u will be fine. U have no idea how much food ur body will use just to repair itself when u regularly train hard. Also, dont be lazy.

Sorry thats my little rant...quit bitching about this and that...just eat ur food and train hard. Thats the simplest damn concept i ever heard of.

Also if you were training on very low carb for two years I wonder how that would effect "fitness".

CO2 production from carbs (and any HCO3- formed from that) is not such a issue in some with good fitness.

To me that is not neccessarily bad because I think an improvement in diet should have effects on hunger signals.

When the brain senses all the calories in food a person should tend to eat less.

(EDIT: Fish in the mediterrean diet has some effects on the sodium reabsorption threshold in the kidney. Because of this HCO3- levels should be lower affecting acetyl COA carboxylase and oxidation of fat should improve. When this happens all the macros in a "mixed meal" can be oxidized and therefore "sensed". When this happens appetite should automatically adjust itself to be "less")

You can find info with regards to Fish and things like blood pressure regulation on Pubmed.

In addition mineral intake (potassium, magnesium, calcium) has effects on this kind of stuff too.

lol..eat ****, but work it off and you'll stay healthy.

Low carb is fine, but make sure you get your multi, and fiber in, and carb up once a week or so.

I looked at the table they made, and I would seriously prefer the Mediteranean diet to a low carb one given a .3lb difference in total pounds lost (3%). the cholseterol difference was more significant than the weight lost...I see a 25% difference there...but still...I'll take the Mediteranean diet 9/10 to a low carb diet.
