So fat free cottage cheese is good right? but...

I can't eat it plain. I don't think I could stomach eating 1 cup a night. So what do you guys do to add some flavor to eat or something, or at least disguise the flavor a bit. I'm not saying it tastes bad, it's just weird eating it straight up. It'd probably be good with crackers but I can't be having some crackers before bed. Any advice would be good.

What I do every night is add walnuts, raisins and cinnamon. Mix it up and you have something that tastes like a dessert! Cottage cheese will pretty much take on the flavor of whatever you add to it. You will develop a taste for it soon! Good luck

Cottage Cheese with some sugar free chocolate pudding and peanut butter is also quite good.

Ok... I tried eating it plain... with peanut butter.. with a lot of pepper on it... tried it a different couple of ways and now I feel sick.... I seriously can't stand it now... I'm not a picky eater(this is the first thing I've come across in a long time that I can't eat)... so now I need to find another good source of protein before I go to bed..... something I can replace cottage cheese with.... any ideas?

try different brands of cc. In my experience Friendship Cottage Cheese is a like a gift from God, its litteraly hard to stop eating it, only downfall is that its rather $$$ especially for a student. With some others, Axelrod and walmart brand, its a struggle to get it down, while others arent too bad but arent great either.

Sometimes cheaper and not brand name cc tastes even better. I usually buy Shop Rite brand cc and its not the greatest but its actaully pretty tasty.

Now im eating Axelrod, beacuse it was 1.24$ a tub adn i stocked up

if that fails try riccota cheese (sp) its not bad either although i never tried it, other than my moms lasagna adn calzones

or casein shakes, but whatever works for you

lean cut of steak (4-6 0z) and veggies and is a good pre bed meal. cottage cheese is definitely not necessary. any type of meat will suffice or you can try a casein based protein powder.

I tried cottage cheese with PB after hearing it talked about here and found it to be disgusting. Now I just eat it with some slithered almonds. Another way I like it is with splenda added to "no salt added" cottage cheese.

cottage cheese with lemon pepper. the bomb.

xjsunx-- you could try downing a tall glass of milk instead or buy some casein protein powder and have that at night.

or, perhaps you could buy some lean thin lunch meat and wrap the cottage cheese inside it.

    good luck!

Well, right now I'm having a large glass of 2% milk with peanut butter before I go to bed. I love milk, only problem I have with milk is that it gets me bloated but that doesn't matter when I'm going to bed.

Scoop out 3 - 4 spoonfuls of that nasty stuff and mix it with a glass of OJ. Plug your nose and swallow.
