50k in wet conditions. Upper pic is knee deep water we ran through along the course. It wasn’t my day today; pain in my hips and I battled nausea from mile 6 on. I ran across a runner around mile 26 who must have fallen hard. Her ankle was incredibly swollen already and she wasn’t getting out on her own. So... backtracked 1/4 mile to where volunteers were stationed, and took them to where she was before continuing on my run. So while I didn’t snag that PR, I at least feel like I still accomplished something worthy. The only bad run is the one you didn’t do.
