First, I would like to thank my FitFamily for the incredible support I received from my last post regarding the Chicago Half Marathon that I participated in on Sunday, September 25, 2022. It was confirmed to all of the half marathoners this week from the officials of the event that in fact the course had been shortened by half a mile making the total distance 12.6 miles rather than 13.1 miles. I have since deleted my post as the medal handed to me and the finishing time I was given lacks legitimacy. I had a lot of hope of completing my 13th half marathon in Chicago last Sunday guys so as you can imagine, it's disappointing not only for me but the 8K athletes that have trained for months. Many of the runners use their finishing times to qualify for other races or as a training run for the Chicago Marathon but our finishing times are useless. As athletes, setbacks are part and parcel of our lives. Again, thanks to you all. I hope to have better news in the coming weeks. To be continued.
