The results are in! I've officially hit 30 days on whole30! In 30 days I've dropped 9.6 pounds of unnecessary stubborn weight.. Whole30 isn't a diet, it's like pushing a reset button. Our food is literally our fuel and by eliminating anything that is "potentially psychologically unhealthy, hormone-unbalancing, gut-disrupting, inflammatory foods" for 30 days can allow our bodies to recover and heal. The rules.. No added sugar real or artificial. I will admit I've had a handful of Halloween candy over the month.. sugar however is in EVERYTHING. Check out your labels. No alcohol. I'm proud to say, I've abstained completely from alcohol over the last 30 days. No grains. I had rice twice over the 30 days. One was with an absolute amazing curry someone wanted me to try. The other was two nights ago. No legumes. Man I've missed my beans, but I lived without them. No dairy. This one has been hard because I love cheese!! But so far I've still kept to no dairy with the exception of one bite from a sandwich my son left out. 😬 we've switched completely as a household to vegan butter and almond milk. Cheese and yogurt for the kids is probably going to stay for now.. No MSG or added sulfites. Basically if it's in a pre-made bottle don't touch it. Make your own sauces and spreads. No re-creating baked goods or treats or junk foods with approved items. This was easy because I don't eat a lot of those anyways. My downfall has been cheese and beer. Do not step on the scale... well I did that. I couldn't help myself. What I've learned- cooking everything everyday or meal prepping isn't impossible , it's just time consuming. It can be done. It can be done with a job, it can be done with a family, it can be done with a routine. The routine is key. Moving forward, I'm going to continue most importantly to abstain from alcohol. I'm going to so my best to completely nix nicotine (4 days sober there). Continued banishment of sugars, additives, and dairy. I will return my grains and beans however because that is a bulk of my meal prep typically. Here's to another successful 30 days!! ✌ you won't know unless you try. ❤ #whole30 #smallgoals
