Medical journey update: the lab work determined that my blood sugar is fine (nowhere near diabetes), liver function an lipids simpatico, and shockingly: my cortisol and thyroid are also fine. Blood pressure is still screamingly high- even w lifestyle changes, my cholesterol is high (heredity, not dietary) and there was protein in my urine. So I'm on two BP meds and Lipitor now. My crappy metabolism and weight loss struggles are still undetermined. The meds may help deflate me, but next I'm to see a gyno, a mammogrammer, a cardiologist, a dermatologist, an opthamologist, I'm getting a referral for Pride-affiliated psychiatric experts (not talk therapy for trauma, but to investigate chemical issues) and getting an an updated Tdap vaccine. What an adventure!
