Leg day: 30 sets for quads, 28 sets for Hams, 10 sets for calves. I did 30 sets of calves yesterday. When I say high volume, I mean high volume. Iâm hitting these workouts twice a week. Thatâs usually one day heavy and the other more of a pump workout depending on how I feel. I really focused on my quads doing the squating, by doing this I was able to feel great tension in the quads. On the last reps I could feel where I have a tendancy to sort of lift with the glutes and hips, I will be aware if this in the future. Iâve been doing hack squats to get a max stretch, with my feet on the lower portion of the platform I can get a deep stretch at the bottom. Today I would just sit for a second or two in the hole to really get that stretch. I do this with calves as well. With Hack squats I sort of do them the same way Tom Platz does but slightly different as I prefer not to really be on the balls of my feet. I stole my triceps push down form from Lee Preist, Iâm suprised that not many people do them. In any case I see that by being more focused I can preform more quality reps.
