Why work out muscle group once a week? SS does squats 3 times a week

What are your thoughts on this? If we should just do once a week, and compund exercises are the way to go, then for shoulders workout all I have to do is the Military Press and I'm good for the day. I guess that will take about 5-10 minutes of my time...I like that kind of working out!!!

Hack squats vs bb squats

Due to lower back injury I'm not able to do bb squats so today for the first time I did hack squats and felt amazing quad activation, I know squats are king of lower body along with dl which I do(sumo style)but I can't do them,so is it worth it making it primary quad exercise or is it waste of time?
