Thumbs up Bodyweight squats for aesthetics

Hey, everybody. I've been wanting to develop my legs at home because I don't have enough money to go to a gym, so can I build some nice legs just by doing bodyweight squats at home?

Blood in Eyes

Hey guys, I am having a bit of a problem. I’m getting blood spots in my eyes. It popped up this morning like a lovely Christmas present. Yesterday I did a squat max. It was a PR, but it was no where near the heaviest weight I’ve lifted compared to deadlift. There was some pressure, but not a...

Bjj and lifting

Hi guys Looking to start Jui Jitsu next week on the days when I'm not lifting and I'm just wondering if it's likely this would have any effect on muscle gains? I know I'll need to eat more to be in a surplus but I'd assume my muscles aren't really recovering as much as they can be when I'm...

Proper Posture

Hey, Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I'm looking for some advice on helping to correct my posture. Despite being thin, my belly sticks out particularly at the lower end of my abs. It's not because of fat or muscle, but the spine. In addition, my shoulders round forward...

However, I am doing so many different types of lifts and most are entirely new to me that it takes me a while to find the right weight. By the time...

Does rep amount really matter?

Hello, I have been training for two weeks with resistance bands at home and its been great. But I find myself doing about 20 reps each exercise. Is this okay for building muscle? Ive heard that its best to aim for 10-15 reps for muscle hypertrophy, but it seems to me like its just a number....

Post Relationship between height and weekly potential muscle growth

Hi, I'm interested in the physiology behind bodybuilding. It's a fairly standard practice to consume a surplus of 500 calories per day or 3500 per week in order to gain a pound of muscle. But it's obvious that a dwarf isn't going to be able to gain that much lean mass, and a genetic giant like...
