Question Thoughts on fiber?

I recently switched to a bulking diet, and I noticed that my fiber levels went WAY up, almost between 120-160 a day. This is mostly because I always opt for the whole grain items, I like my wheat products, and I absolutely pile on the fruit and vegetables. Plus, I just seem to really enjoy foods...

Wink Wanted: Your personal experience with IIFYM vs Clean Eating during cutting/ show prep

Hey guys. Was just just hoping to gain some insight from those of you that have successfully leaned out using IIFYM compared to cutting by eating clean and whole foods. A few or more years ago when I was attempting to do either a bikini or figure competition, I was introduced to IIFYM. I had...

Is Damen Griffith a scam? Very awkward convo with him

So I follow this guy on Snapchat, the dude is lean and ripped, you can’t denie that. I’ve been stalling and was curious what he had to say so I paid for a 1 month one on one private coaching. Have the frankenfoods folks gotten to garlic?

Hey, whatever has happened to garlic? It used to have such a nice flavor; now all it does is burn my tongue. I tried gently sauteing a small amount and my eyes watered. Have the frankenfoods people killed the taste while attempting to lessen the odor? Does fresh garlic still have the great...

Should I bulk, cut, or possibly “recomp”

I’m 15, and I’ve been lifting for about 4 months now. I recovered from anorexia, and went from 105- 120 lbs at 5’6, after this, I was able to add about 10 lbs of mass buy just eating and lifting, doing a 10x4 split (usually upper, lower) my physique obviously is nothing “great”, and I’m just trying...

Cinnamon good for you?

I've discovered that cinnamon is very high in antioxidants and is supposed to be very healthy. Doesn't cost much either. Just 95 cents for a small container at Aldi. But now I've been reading that it's not all that safe, especially the variety that is most commonly available, which is the Cassia...

Poll Poll: Should you eat a flat amount of calories per day or taper it to daily exercise?

Hey all, I've currently starting my second bulk eating ~3200 calories. I also have a fitbit that tells me my approximate calorie burn each day. Im wondering if I should eat 200cal above my average daily burn (3000+200 = 3200 ) OR If I should take each day's daily calorie burn estimate and...

Any of you have any experience with Kombucha? If so, what benefits do you see or not see from using it. I tried for the first time a couple months ago and hated it, but tried yesterday and actually thought it tasted pretty good. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I plan on taking a month off from training to recover. I've been cutting for a few months. While on this break I want to preserve muscle mass. Should I continue cutting (at a 500cal deficit) or eat at maintenance? Also, would eating at a minor deficit (like 100cal) be a way to still burn...

Post Macros from cooking starches in Bone Broth or Stock

When one cooks rice in a stock or bone broth, do the nutrients, macro (carbs, proteins, fats) and micro (vitamins, minerals, etc.), get absorbed into the rice or are those nutrients lost to the cooking process? I would also be interested in other starches like quinoa, potatoes, cous cous, etc....

Thoughts on Thomas DeLauer?

Thomas DeLauer: is he a quack? I watch his videos, find them informative, but since nowadays so many youtube videos have "SCIENCE" in their title, when it's just random people who have no academic background, is DeLauer "legit"?
