THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO START YOUR OWN WORKOUT LOG. This will eliminate the need for people starting new threads to post their prs. ...

ATWR Raw Bench Press

So I guess this section is truly dead, because the ATWR bench press was set this past weekend by Julius Maddox, and I have not seen one mention of it on here or any other section of BB.com. Kind of disappointing to be honest, this was kind of a big deal. Not to mention if anybody watched his opener...

Ditching the equipment

Been powerlifting for about 8 months now, and lifting for 2 years. Almost always have used a belt and knee sleeves or wraps. Don’t have a meet for at least 6-8 months and am thinking of ditching the belt and knee sleeves entirely for a cycle (approx 8 weeks) due to feeling like I’ve become reliant...

Is it time to give up deadlifting?

Long story short, 2 years ago broke my left lower leg. No surgery, both bones. Took a while to recover, all other lifts are back but deadlift was never the same. I developed a tendinitis in my left hamstring/glute insertion that I recently completed PT for after backing off all lower body lifts....

Deadlift stuck at knees

Today I attempted a 180KG (396lb) deadlift and I couldn't get it past the knees. From the floor to my knees, it took around 3 seconds to lift it but wouldn't budge at my knees. I can rack pull 180KG for 3 reps (below knees) so I don't think it's my lower back that's the issue. FYI I weigh 75KG...

Question about volume and intensity and variation of lifts

Hey, I've been confused on the concept of volume and intensity for a while now. If the optimum rep range is 1-3 to build strength and one were to seek strength only, is it possible to just max out with one rep to get stronger? Like on the texas method or madcow, an intensity day is included...

Powerlifting Meets: Interested, but Want to Know More!

Hello, I'm interested in Powerlifting Meets, but because I'm new to the idea, I wanted to gauge what exactly is to be expected prior to committing myself to a program. What are some things that I should know before committing to a program and competing? Thank you for your answer, in advance.

Is it true you don’t have to train the deadlift to be good at it?

I heard you can do Pendlay rows and squats and they carry over to the deadlift. Same with how OHP carries over to Bench Press.

Hi I’m new to this forum - I’d call myself a basic level deadlifter – I weigh 78KG and can only lift 100KG (3~4 reps) without risking injuring my lower back. I have two rookie questions – and would appreciate some advice. 1) Set-up when using straps When I just started I used to DL...

I've switched gyms this past weekend, the new place I lift at banned chalk, so what should I do instead? Should I consider wrist straps?
