Sticky Thread Sticky: The Cheapo Setup

Ok so let's go through the cheapest options for new equipment that you'd be willing to use for training. While we all dream of buying that custom built rig, or finding a solid piece of used commercial or vintage equipment to outfit your gym, many times we just want to buy something that's usable...

Post Sticky Thread Sticky: Barbells - Everything you ever wanted to know

I don't think a thread like this exists for the barbell, so I wanted to start one. The Olympic barbell is one of the most important purchases one can make for their home gym. This is a collaborative effort from the equipment forum members. The 2008 edition has a lot of broken links and rather than keep that one going we decided to start a new one. First let’s have a few definitions to clear up some confusion. Squat Stands: These are probably the most useless...

New house with two gym spaces - moving equipment down basement stairs?

We are finally closing on a new house at the end of Nov. which has ~1200 sq feet of garage space and another ~2300 feet of unfinished basement space with 9 or 10 foot ceilings. I'm trying to figure out how to divvy up the spaces as I think my machine purchases will eventually fill the garage....

I can’t find any reviews on the forum about it. Anyone own or use one? Any good? There is one video on YouTube in regards to it. The preacher curl attachment works on the X2,X3, and T3 from Titan. Hammer Strength Plate-Loaded Iso-Lateral Chest/Back

Has anyone had any experience - either at home or a gym - with this particular piece ? Space being at a premium, I'm looking at this combo piece and would rather go this route as opposed to a selectorized lat/ row option - which wouldn't offer a chest option anyway. And if given the choice, I'd...
