Dead lift grip strength

im running Madcow program right now. my dead lift is at 270 Lbs X 5 right now, and i have to reset my grip after every set. both palms down. i am thinking about using wrist straps on my last set? is this the best plan of action? will it weaken my strength? thanks,

Is forearm/wrist/elbow pain normal?

I feel like the muscles can easily recover and handle more, but the soft tissue like tendons flare up, especially around inner elbow/forearm area. It's mainly my left arm. It tends to feel better after deload but gets progressively worse over a few weeks until it tells me I better deload again....

Healing slower

I'm healing at a rate 2x slow as I was in my 20's. Joints are the main problem. Have to wait 3 days sometimes to workout the same muscle group, when I used to do it every day all week and rest on Saturday and Sunday. This is bull****.
